Description

The implantable Soft PGA Felt® is an absorbable non-woven textile. It solely consists of polyglycolic acid. 
Soft PGA Felt is mainly absorbed between 40 and 60 days after implantation with a 50 percent loss in mechanical strength after 7 days.
The Felt is available in a variety of different sizes. The surgeon can cut each item to the required shape and size.
Soft PGA Felt® is mechanically resistant and can be fixed by suture stitches to the desired place.

Indication

Indications for Felt Use in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery.

• Suture reinforcement (air-leakage,bleeding)
• Hemostatic agent (with fibrin sealant)
• Replacement of pericardium
• Mechanical barrier (protects structures)
• Adhesion barrier
